GorkyCAD Pro: plans and billing, frequently asked questions

Short answers about the €40 a month Pro plan: what it includes, how billing works, when to cancel, and how the Free plan fits in.

Author: GorkyCAD Team

How much does GorkyCAD Pro cost?

Pro is €40 per month. That is the whole price of the paid tier — there is no separate fee for the parts of the product you use every day.

The charge is monthly, so the cost tracks how long you actually need the unlimited plan rather than committing you to a year up front.

That single monthly figure is the complete cost of the paid plan, with no price tier above it. The Free plan remains available at no charge for up to three basic projects, so you only pay when you want more room.

What do you get for €40 a month?

The headline difference is the project limit. Free keeps up to three basic projects at a time; Pro removes that limit and lets you hold as many projects as your work needs.

Everything else in the tool is the same on both plans: one model for single-line diagrams, plans, switchboards and cable schedules, the 70-plus calculations and IEC 60364 checks, the AI assistant, the PDF/DXF/XLSX/IFC/BCF/GLTF exports and the PDF document set.

In short, €40 a month buys room to work at full size: the same engine you already know from Free, without the ceiling on how many projects you can keep open at once.

Do I need a card to start?

No. You start free with no card and no payment details — you open the editor and work on the Free plan straight away.

A card only comes into the picture if you decide to move to Pro, so the first step carries no payment risk.

You can design, check and export real projects without entering any payment information, so the decision to pay is made later, on the evidence of your own work.

Is there still a free plan?

Yes. Free is not a trial that expires; it is a plan you can stay on for as long as it fits. It covers up to three basic projects at a time.

That means you can finish a small job and judge the output before paying anything, and only move to Pro when the project limit rather than the learning curve is what slows you down.

Because it is a plan rather than a clock, Free does not expire while you use it, and there is no separate trial period to track or remember.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. Pro is a monthly plan and you can cancel at any time. There is no fixed term standing between you and the decision to stop.

That makes Pro a running judgement rather than a commitment: stay on it while it is carrying your work, and step back when it is not.

You are not locked into a year to get a rate, and stepping back to Free is a normal move rather than a cancellation you have to justify.

How is the subscription billed?

Pro is billed as a monthly subscription of €40. You pay for the month you are using rather than for a long block of time in advance.

Because it is monthly and cancellable, the cost is easy to match to your workload: turn it on for a busy period and off again for a quiet one.

What happens to my work if I cancel?

Cancelling Pro returns you to the Free plan, which keeps up to three basic projects. Nothing about the product changes other than the limit on how many projects the account holds at once.

The practical approach is to keep the projects you are actively working on within that limit, and to pay for Pro only while you need more open at the same time.

Do I need to install anything?

No. GorkyCAD runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install or licence on a machine. It also works offline as a PWA, which is useful when you are on a site without a reliable connection.

The same project opens wherever you are signed in, which keeps the drawing, the panel and the schedules together.

Who is Pro really for?

Pro is for people whose regular work depends on the tool — designers who keep several jobs open at once, or who leave finished projects in place while starting new ones.

If your work is occasional and a few projects at a time is plenty, Free does the job and there is no reason to pay before the limit actually bites.

Next steps

Start on the Free plan, design something real, and let the project limit tell you when it is time to move up. There is no card required to begin, and you can cancel Pro at any time once you are on it.
